Students wait for word on CCTA bus strike, about one third rely on system
Between 1,000 and 1,500 Burlington public school students will be forced to find their own way to the city’s nine schools if Chittenden County Transportation Authority bus drivers follow through on a threat to strike at 12:01 Friday morning.

Bernard Horn, HUD official
Bernard Horn, 89, who retired in 1979 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as acting director of the economic analysis division, died April 4 at the Riderwood Village retirement community in Silver Spring. He had congestive heart failure.
